Slavic Choir

In spring 2016, the students of the Department came up with an idea of organizing a Slavic choir. At first, the small choir consisted of very few enthusiasts, but then grew to a respectable seven people, both students of the Department and members of the broader Georgetown community, some of them with high level of musical culture and experience in performing. After two months of rehearsals, the choir sang three Russian songs at the Department end-of-the-year party. The beauty of the songs has captured the audience. We plan to continue in the spring semester of 2017 and are looking for more participants.
